C ommScope Home is a leader in Home Connectivity and Solutions with a focus on Access Technologies like PON, DOCSIS and Fixed Wireless Access and LAN Wireless technologies like Wi-Fi and BLE. Additionally, CommScope provides Cloud to Home service solutions that provide data driven services to the home. These data driven services typically connect to the broadband Gateway and provide local edge processing as well as telemetry and network-based services as well. Home Devices such as Broadband Gateways, Access Points, Meshing Extenders, IP Video STB, Sensors, Telemedicine are some of the typical product areas that the Chief Technology Office works to plan technology roadmaps in conjunction with product and engineering teams.
We are hiring a Senior Software Systems Architect for our Home Networks' Chief Technology Office group. This is an Engineering Fellow level role and is the highest level of engineering role within the group. This is a 100% remote US based role and we are open to have this position to work out of UK and Ireland.

Anticipated compensation range: $150000 - $225000 dependent on candidate's work location, experience and qualifications.

- Service Provider customers to define the next generation product for their roadmaps
- Silicon Solution providers in defining the next generation of Silicon Services
- Software Providers working in delivering the next generation of services to the home
- End consumers understanding their drivers for technology-based home products and services for retail opportunities
- Back Office Data Scientists and Cloud Solutions providers to drive services from data extracted from home devices
- Standards Bodies and Industry Groups ranging from physical layer standards to open-source initiatives in Broadband and Video services .
- A completed bachelor's degree
- Demonstrated experience in the highest level of engineering function or Architecture role in software or Cloud area or real time systems
- Ability to travel 10% to 15% of the time
- The position will require domain expertise in any of the following areas
- Wi-Fi technologies
- Software Stacks - OpenWRT, RDK-B, prplOS, Android
- IoT technologies such as BLE, ZigBee, Matter
- Virtualization solutions using Cloud architectures to deploy virtualized container solutions to Edge devices
- Networking protocols such as TCP, QUICC, MCTCP
- Access Technologies such as PON, DOCSIS or Fixed Wireless Access 4G/5G
- Cloud Architectures for Backend Scalable Device and Service Management solutions
- Mobile Application Architecture and Development
